FFDO funding continues to advance

Yesterday afternoon, the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee approved funding for the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) program in its FY13 Appropriations bill, rejecting the Administration’s proposal to reduce the program’s appropriation by more than half.  Additionally, funding for the program advanced one more step today when House Appropriators approved their FY13 Homeland Security bill at the full committee level.  ALPA will continue to press for robust funding of the FFDO program as the bills progress to the House and Senate floor.  ALPA members can continue to urge Congress to support this program my writing their representatives here.
