On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, President Barack Obama will give his annual State of the Union address to report on the condition of the nation and layout his agenda for the upcoming year. For decades, this formal address has been used to ensure that the country is taking positive strides to improve jobs, our economy, and our collective future. Similarly, the hardworking men and women at the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l, all want to protect our nation’s working families, create new U.S. jobs, and strengthen our economy by supporting and passing sound policies that protect U.S. industries and their workers.
Unfortunately, lately, we have seen the opposite. Instead of supporting the U.S. airline industry, we have seen push back from the administration and received a devastating blow from Congress when they chose to support state-backed foreign companies.
